Most of the time this is an indication of file corruption that could be caused by a hard drive with bad sectors or by malware infection.Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi Rick thanks for your answer.
The files are all 20 bytes and contain the same text :
[KeyList]
Count=0
Does that mean something to you ?

Hi Alex, thanks for your answer.
I have ran a full scan with:
Microsoft Safety Scanner Microsoft Security Essentials Malicious Software Removal Tool (=Microsoft Safety Scanner?)
Non of them reported an infection.
I have deleted the "strange files" and ran the same scans again.
No infections reported.
Until now the "strange" files did not reappear.
I wonder where they came from.

Hi,
Generally, Windows would not write such files in system folder, I suspect the culprit is certain third-party software or virus infection. If you get this issue next
time, you should notice what you have done at such time. This would narrow down the root cause.
